Inter Higher Secondary School Essay Writing Competition
The Goa Science Centre, Miramar Panaji in collaboration with Directorate of Health Services
State Family Welfare Bureau organised an Essay Writing Competition to celebrate world
population Day (from 8th to 11th July 2022). The students were asked to prepare on 3 topics
and 1topicwas declared on the spot to be written at the venue. 30 students from different
higher secondary schools all across Goa participated in the competition. Ms Bethany
Fernandes of XII Arts and Supriya Moolya of XII commerce participated and were awarded
participation certificates. Bethany Fernandes won the consolation prize and was awarded with
certificate and a cash prize.
Inter Higher Secondary School, Quiz Competition
A quiz competition on Goa's Struggle for Freedom was organised by Government of Goa ,
Directorate of Archives and Archaeology on the 18th June 2022. Samiyolla Fernandes and
Bethany Fernandes of std XII Arts bagged the 3rd place and were awarded with certificates
and a trophy. They also received participation certificates for the same. Deepti Gawas and
Tavia de Souza of std XII Arts also participated in the quiz competition and received
participation certificates
Talk on Drub Abuse and Illicit Trafficking
A talk on Drug Abuse and Illicit trafficking was organised in the school hall on 28th June
2022 for the students of std XI and XII Arts, Commerce and Science to make our students
aware about drugs and its consequences on our health. The resource person was Ms Shreya
Borkar, the school counsellor. It was a well presented interactive session with the aid of a ppt.
The students took a pledge against taking drugs at the end of the session.

Runners Up In All Goa Vrundhavan Health Quiz Alaina Pereira and Elysia Frnandes
