Students Celebrate Christmas with Residents of Lar Santa Margarida Home for the Aged

As part of the celebration marking 150 years of the FMM Congregation, the students of Std. XI Commerce visited the Lar Santa Margarida Home for the Aged, Diwar, run by the Poor Sisters of Our Lady, to celebrate Christmas on 13th December 2025. The visit was accompanied by Principal Sr. Manisha Parmar, Class Teacher Dr. Deepti D. C. Aldonkar, and Student Councillor Mrs. Tabitha Lobo.

The programme began with a prayer service, during which the Christmas candle was lit by Sr. Manisha and Sr. Rose, creating a prayerful and serene atmosphere. This was followed by a cultural programme featuring Christmas carols and dances. A creatively handmade Christmas tree became the highlight of the celebration as the residents actively participated by decorating it with festive symbols such as stars, angels, gift boxes, and snowflakes.

The students presented the residents with beautifully decorated handmade candles as Christmas gifts. Fun activities such as Christmas Housie, Passing the Parcel, and spot prizes added cheer and laughter to the celebration. The arrival of Santa Claus, who personally greeted each resident and distributed sweets, brought smiles and excitement.

The residents expressed immense happiness and felt deeply loved and valued by the students’ visit. Their participation in the celebrations filled them with joy, making the event a meaningful and memorable experience. The visit beautifully reflected the true spirit of Christmas—love, joy, sharing, and compassion.
