Our Lady of the Rosary HSS, Dona Paula, celebrated Konkani Rashtramanyata Divas on 20th August 2026 with a Konkani Poetry Recitation Competition. The programme began with a warm welcome to the gathering, followed by the introduction of the judges, Tr. Pritanka Mandrekar and Tr. Urmila Sakhalkar.
A total of 33 students of Konkani participated enthusiastically in the competition. The participants showcased their talent, confidence and love for the Konkani language through their poetry recitations. The entire programme was compered by Miss Bindu of XII Science.
The competition was coordinated by Tr. Sucheta Pai, with the support and guidance of Principal Sr. Manisha Parmar and the teaching and non-teaching staff of the institution.

First Place: Sneha Dhotre – XII Science
Second Place: Snesha Gauns – XII Commerce
Third Place: Sanjana Rangaya – XII Arts

- Jeeya Murgaonkar – XII Commerce

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Miss Dhanya Kotten.
The programme was a meaningful celebration of Konkani Rashtramanyata Divas. Such activities help students develop their knowledge of Konkani literature, improve their communication skills and, most importantly, cultivate a deep love, pride and respect for the Konkani language and its rich cultural heritage.
