Participation
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from 22 groups comprising 5 students each, totaling 110 students from Class 11. Adding to the spirit, 8 teachers also actively joined the hands-on activity, making it a true collaborative learning experience.
Workshop Highlights
The resource person, Ms. Leekhani Naik, guided participants step-by-step through the process of making Kokedama using soil, coir, moss, thread, and live plants. For many students, this was a first-of-its-kind experience.
The hall buzzed with energy as students worked with their hands, shaping soil balls and wrapping them with thread. The practical, fun-filled session showcased remarkable team spirit, creativity, and zest, with each group striving to create the best Kokedama.
Objective & Outcome
The primary objective of the workshop was to spark interest in growing and nurturing plants through an engaging, alternative method. By working directly with natural materials, students connected with nature in a meaningful way. The activity not only taught a new skill but also instilled values of patience, responsibility, and environmental care.
