An awareness talk on the topic “Drug Abuse – Drugs: A Menace to Society” was conducted on 12 January 2026 for the students of Our Lady of the Rosary H.S.S. & Our Lady of the Rosary High School (300). The programme aimed to educate students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to create awareness about its impact on individuals, families, and society at large.
The session was addressed by Dr. Kartik Vangal and PSI Deen Dayal Redkar, who shared valuable insights on the physical, psychological, and social consequences of drug addiction. They also highlighted the legal aspects related to drug abuse and emphasized the importance of making responsible life choices.
The speakers interacted actively with the students and motivated them to stay away from drugs and lead a healthy, disciplined life. The talk was very effective and informative, leaving a strong impact on the students and helping them understand the seriousness of drug abuse as a social menace.
