The Dona Paula Super School Complex meeting was held on 20th June 2026 at 8:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Higher Secondary School, Dona Paula.
The member schools present for the meeting were Government High School, Dona Paula, and Our Lady of the Rosary High School, Dona Paula.
The programme commenced with a short prayer followed by a devotional video. The dignitaries present were Sr. Manisha Parmar, President of the Dona Paula Super School Complex; Sr. Antoinette Colaco, Headmistress of Our Lady of the Rosary School; and Mrs. Rima Zingde, Headmistress of Government High School, Dona Paula.
Sr. Manisha Parmar formally declared the meeting open for discussion. The guest speaker for the session was Prof. Dr. Oscar Bragança De Mello, Professor at St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa. He delivered an enlightening session on the topic, “Connection at the Heart of Education in a Distracted World.”
The speaker provided valuable insights into building meaningful connections with students in the classroom by emphasizing the importance of self-prioritization, persuasion skills, presence skills, and people skills. He shared several life experiences and highlighted the need to connect and communicate effectively with students by focusing on providing direction rather than merely concentrating on speed. He concluded his talk with the thought-provoking concept of “Feel, Felt, Found.”
Teachers from Our Lady of the Rosary High School, Mrs. Maria Filomena D’Souza, Mrs. Anna Paula Naik, and Mrs. Amalia Pinto Rebelo e Nazareth, were felicitated as they are due for superannuation during the current academic year. Teachers from the Higher Secondary Section, Ms. Sunita George Fernandes and Ms. Sucheta Pai, were also felicitated as they are due to superannuate during the current academic year.
The activities of the previous academic year were reviewed, discussed, and evaluated. The members congratulated Government High School, Dona Paula, for achieving a 100% result in the Goa Board Examination. All three member schools were congratulated for their performance in the Goa Board Examination 2026. New teachers from both Our Lady of the Rosary High School and Government High School were introduced to the members of the complex.
Following the guest lecture, the meeting was opened for discussion, evaluation, and planning of activities for the academic year 2026–2027. Sr. Manisha Parmar extended her wholehearted support for all upcoming activities and congratulated the teachers for their hard work, continuous commitment, and dedication towards shaping young minds.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the Secretary, Ms. Feba Fernandes, and a renewed commitment to work collaboratively for the holistic development of students.
