The project ” Digital Flora Inventory” for Goa Science Centre was taken up by students of 12th Science under the Vasundhara Eco Club of our school. This initiative of placing QR codes on all plants within the campus of Goa Science Centre, Miramar, Goa was with an intention to provide visitors with instant scientific information about these plants which includes Scientific and common name, image and description of the plant, IUCN Red List Status, Economical and Medicinal uses in Konkani, Hindi and English.
On 9th June 2026, 29 QR codes were handed over to the Centre Head, Mr.Abhimanyu Bhelave Goa Science students by the Vasundhara Eco Club in charge teacher, Mrs.Sujata N.Nayak and students.
Thev overall activity was an enriching experience as students not only learnt about the plants but developed a keen interest in doing research studies and incorporate technology in their studies.
