The NSS Unit of Our Lady of the Rosary Higher Secondary School, Dona Paula – Goa celebrated Rakshabandhan with a beautiful blend of creativity, tradition and gratitude.

As part of the celebration, the NSS Unit organised a Rakhi Making Competition, where our students enthusiastically crafted beautiful handmade Rakhis. These Rakhis were later sent to our brave soldiers safeguarding our borders through Chaitanya Pratishthan-Goa, as a heartfelt gesture of love and gratitude.

Our NSS volunteers also conducted a traditional Rakshabandhan Celebration, beginning with the tying of Rakhis to our respected Principal, Sr. Manisha Parmar, followed by our senior teachers Ms. Sucheta Pai and Ms. Sunita George, and subsequently to the male staff of our institution, as a token of appreciation for their constant support and all that they do for our students and school.

A special PPT presentation highlighted the significance of the traditional rituals of lighting the Diya, applying Tika and tying the Rakhi, reminding us that each ritual carries a beautiful message of respect, gratitude, love and togetherness.
