Talk on Prevention and Awareness of Vector Borne Diseases

In accordance with the directives issued by the Directorate of Education, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Our Lady of the Rosary Higher Secondary School Dona Paula organised an awareness talk on “Vector-Borne Diseases” on 12th August 2026.

The main aim of the session was to educate young students about the risks, prevention strategies and control measures for illnesses like Dengue, Malaria, and Chikungunya.
It was attended by NSS Volunteers of std XI Arts, Commerce and Science. The programme was compered by Muskan Saudagar
The Guest Speaker was introduced by NSS Secretary Simarpreet Kaur
Mrs. Arpita Korgaokar delivered an engaging and highly informative talk for the volunteers bringing clarity to all their doubts .
The talk covered, topics such as understanding breeding grounds of vectors (mosquitoes), identifying symptoms, early prevention.
They were also informed about practical steps like eliminating stagnant water, installing nets, and using repellents. The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Joint NSS Secretary Nisha Ranabhat.
