Our Lady of the Rosary Higher Secondary School, Dona Paula, organized a Written Quiz on Goa in the Konkani language for the students of Class XII. The quiz was conducted by Mrs. Sucheta Pai, with an enthusiastic participation of 45 students.
The winners of the competition were:
🥇 First Place: Gitika Velingkar
🥈 Second Place: Sneha Dhotre
🥉 Third Place (Joint Winners): Anushavi Gauns, Tanvi Gauns, and Jeeya Murgaonkar
Consolation Prize Winners: Rashmi Kurup, Sanjana Rangayya, Kanisha Gauns, and Alisha Lobo.
The prize distribution ceremony was held on 24th July, and the winners were felicitated by the Principal, Mrs. Manisha Parmar.
The quiz proved to be an enriching learning experience, enhancing the students’ knowledge of Goa, its history, culture, and places of interest. It also helped students learn new Konkani vocabulary, thereby improving their language skills and general knowledge. The activity successfully encouraged students to appreciate the rich heritage and linguistic diversity of Goa.
