Under the Vasundhara Eco Club of Our Lady of The Rosary Higher Secondary School an exhibition cum competition was organised for the students to showcase their creativity using discarded plant parts. The title was ” Blossoming Ideas”
More than 150 exhibits made by students were displayed under three different categories: Decorative items, utility items and ecological solutions.
Discarded parts like coconut shells and coir, sticks, petals, seeds, peels, roots and leaves were used brilliantly to create an amazing collection of exhibits like wall hangings, door mats, containers, cups and plates, bird feeders, pots, jewellery, floor cleaners, soaps, bioenzymes etc.
Principal Sr.Manisha Parmar welcomed the gathering and appreciated the students and staff members involved in making this exhibition a great success with proper planning and execution.
Teacher in charge of the eco club Mrs. Sujata Nayak briefed the audience about the motive of this exhibition which is connecting with the nature and being grateful to our mother nature.
The chief guest, Mrs. Esthella Dsouza, Panch of the Taleigao Panchayat congratulated the participants and motivated them to come up with more of such products which are natural and durable with a good market value and high in demand.
The judges were Mrs Fiba, a teacher from Our Lady of the Rosary High School and Mr.Yogesh Naik Patekar from Govt.High School Dona Paula.
The compering of the inaugural function was done by Miss Diti Kudnekar, introduction of the Judges by Miss Pragati Kharatmol and vote of thanks by Miss Lahiba Inamdar.
The exhibition was appreciated by all and students participated with great enthusiasm to give their best.
